Whitney Roush, Counselor 

My name is Whitney Roush and I am the counselor at Deep Creek-Damascus K-8 School. I have also been a counselor at East Gresham Grade School as well as Sam Barlow High School. Prior to working in the Gresham-Barlow area I worked as an elementary counselor in Seaside and Cannon Beach. I feel fortunate to be part of DCD and enjoy working with students, staff and parents in our community. 

My role is to help support students to feel safe, successful and prepared for their future. I may see students in a classroom setting, in small groups and/or individually as needed. I also work closely with teachers and parents to help make sure children are succeeding both academically and socially/emotionally. Providing children and families with community resources is also an important part of my job.
