DCD Value Statement

Our K-8 school is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment where every person is valued, respected, and supported. We commit to using a culturally relevant equity lens when making decisions about student and family engagement strategies, curriculum, discipline practices, resource allocation, and school improvement planning. The DCD K-8 School community commits to identifying and eliminating systems within our school that exclude groups and individuals.

• We celebrate diversity and strive to create opportunities for all students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

• All students have potential that is enhanced by their individual experiences which includes their race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, home language, country of origin and religious preference.
• Our dedicated staff is committed to addressing and dismantling any barriers that may impede equitable access to education, ensuring that each child receives the support and resources needed to reach their full potential. 
• All families want their child to have academic success and a positive social emotional experience.
